Aspromonte National Park

In its lush greenery and unspoiled nature, the Aspromonte marks the bounds of the Locride Area and divides the Ionian Sea from the Tyrrhenian Sea. It offers different and unusual landscapes with many amazing waterfalls and rivers. The park has a rich vegetation made of woods, flowers and rare plants, the real treasure of biodiversity.

Here you can easily find numerous animal species into an unspoiled wild and crystal-clear rivers. The highest peak, Montalto, reaches 1956 metres.

The most important mountain villages in the Aspromonte National Park area are: Africo, Antonimina, Bruzzano Zeffiro, Canolo, Careri, Ciminà, Gerace, Mammola, Platì, Sant’Agata del Bianco, Samo and San Luca.
